Bearings closest to the building's ground receive the biggest impact during an earthquake. Structures try to resist the earthquake with the bearings. However, most house owners do not know the function, resistance capacity and importance of these bearings in case of an earthquake. On the other hand, we know that an earthquake is not the only condition for a building to collapse.  Buildings can no longer support even their own strain because of reinforcement and concrete corrosion resulting from the humidity moving upwards from the foundation.  Consequently,  house owners inevitably face an unexpected fate.  During measurements and studies, Mirline team provides house owners with realistic information regarding the resistance and potential risks of their buildings.

 

Our expert team performs examinations and inspections regarding the ground on which the building rises.  It conducts measurements regarding the condition of the floor, floor movements and groundwater level.

It performs X-ray scans on the bearings of the building from basement upwards. It detects the amount of corrosion and potential application mistakes and enquires into whether the building constitutes a safe living space with the existing corrosion.

It measures the quality of the concrete in columns and determines the resistance capacity.

It detects the presence and amount of unwanted salts in the concrete material.

Resistance percentage of the building is established as a result of the abovementioned analyses.

At the end of this application, house owners obtain comprehensive information on the floor and bearings of the building they inhabit.

CONCLUSION:

The aim of these studies is to picture the present condition of a building. Mirline measures package will be initiated, if this picture indicates that the building has the required resistance.

If the results show that the resistance is below the required level, a two-stage application is necessary.

1. If the building is in a state where its optimum resistance capacity can be restored through intervention from outside, treatment methods will be established to restore the necessary resistance.  After the intended resistance level is fulfilled, Mirline Measures Package will be put into practice.

2. If the building is in a state where its optimum resistance capacity cannot be restored through intervention from outside, the residents will be warned and informed as to what should be done.  Mirline Measures Package cannot be applied to such a building under any circumstance.
